Wood Doors
Wood Doors:
Wood doors are made from trees growing in different environments and conditions. This results in the tree having naturally varying grains and sap wood which is a natural feature. In addition, other imperfections such as burls, pecks, shakes, knots, and mineral streaks also occur in natural wood. Doors with such characteristics are not considered defective. Product samples are representations of the product and may differ from the overall appearance of the complete kitchen.
- Maple: characterized by closed, even and fine grain pattern. Maple shows color variation due to mineral streaks which are common to this wood.
- Cherry: characterized by a close grain pattern, gum streaks and subtle color variations. All cherry products darken somewhat with age due to exposure to sun or artificial light which is a natural process.
- Oak: characterized by prominent open grains that accept stains ranging in color from white to reddish brown. Red oak is sometimes streaked with green, yellow or black mineral deposits as well. Oak is the most used wood in the manufacturing of cabinets and is considered the standard of wooden products.
